It has already been busy to start the week. I was at the Sechelt Learning Centre yesterday taking a First Aid course. Today has been an office day and it has been busy.
Ms. Dimond and I had a meeting with our Rotary Exchange student, from Taiwan, this morning-- she (Po-Ya) comes from a city of 3 million and a high school with 1,200 students. It will be quite a change for her.
I continue to work with Margaret Hartley, our extremely capable Office Assistant, getting organized for the year.
As you may be aware, we have new flooring throughout the school. To keep the place looking good, we are going to have students hang their skateboards on racks outside the front door. Additional lockers will be available if students want to lock up their boards.
We are alleviating the issues regarding the damage to locker doors by having locks on all lockers. The custodians and our site maintenance worker feel that this will allow us to keep the building looking good and will minimize safety issues from broken locker doors.
I am off to another meeting in the Counselor's Office.
Until Later.
Mr. H
