Photos & Concept Diagram

Ms. Mullin's Biology 11 students are working on Concept Diagrams (one on Living Things is posted here). The second picture has one of our students showing me some of her photos that she took with her i-Phone....it is amazing. Well done and thanks for sharing. (You can increase the picture size by clicking on the picture)

We had a boys' basketball practice at lunch and it was quite intense. Friday's at lunch we scrimmage and invite our girls to play as well. They worked very hard and displayed some excellent skill. I look forward to us having a game or two before Christmas.

Sweatshop Simulation

Mrs. Dimond had her English students working on a sweatshop simulation. Students had to make boxes out of newspapers and were to receive a small sum for each box made.

It seemed like the students enjoyed the activity. I look forward to reading about their perceptions

Have a good afternoon.

Perogies & Metal Punch

In our elective classes students are exposed to a variety of activities. In Ms. Sheppard's Foods class yesterday students finished making perogies (They looked great!) and one of Mr. Wall's Shop students made a metal punch (It is quite impressive). These are just a few examples of some of the excellent work that our students are doing in the electives at Pender Harbour Secondary.

I just wanted to remind parents and guardians that Monday, November 26th is a Pro-D Day and school will not be in session.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Junior Rugby Lose Spirited Match at Argyle SS

Our Junior Rugby Team lost a spirited match to Argyle SS this afternoon. The match played in North Vancouver was our only road trip of the year-- the final score was Argyle SS 46, Pender Harbour SS 27. We only had two spares today, which made it challenging for us.

Thanks to Michael Cyr and Dave Mackay for coaching our team this season. Some of the juniors are looking forward to participating with senior team this spring!
