Preparations almost complete

We have been working hard to ensure that we have a smooth start-up on Tuesday. Margaret Hartley, our Administrative Assistant, has done a great job getting the paperwork organized the past two weeks. Several teachers have been in to do some planning as well.

I hope that everyone has a safe Labour Day weekend.

We look forward to seeing the students Tuesday, September 4th-- we will have snacks and drinks for students (10:45 am) prior to our opening assembly which will start at 11:15.

Rock Wall in Place

As the days go by the outdoor fitness area is starting to take shape. The fellow from Boyd's Construction did an awesome job excavating and installing a rock wall.

The equipment will arrive on Wednesday, but won't be installed until next week. It should be a great space for our students and our community members.

Back to work!

I am back to PHSS after a summer filled with wonderful memories, including an 11 day kayak trip with my wife in Desolation Sound, camping at Mount Robson, visiting our two university students in Edmonton and attending my niece's wedding in Queenston Heights, Ontario. It was an action packed summer and now I am preparing for the upcoming school year.

While I was at meeting Monday through Wednesday, Margaret held the fort and was here at PHSS. We are both attending a workshop in Gibsons tomorrow, but we will be in all next week.

The work on our Outdoor Fitness Area has started and should be in pretty good shape by the time school starts. The project is a result of a grant that we received this past year.

I will continue to post pictures as the project progresses.
